Hello my fur baby Bronson we rescued a year ago he was excessively overweight. Well its taken a year and he is now 64kg perfect weight as our vet says. Also we have had to have eye surgery on him poorly little fella has really been through it the first 3 years of his life. Well we have a worry. He is getting fur thinning. In some lights he looks nearly bald in places. He has no sores fully flea treated and we given him oatmeal showers. What else can we do to help him back on track to getting a beautiful coat.

We had a similar problem with our old dane Napoleon.  He developed a bald patch over his hind legs and the vet diagnosed it as Seasonal Flank Alapecia.  They normally get it in the spring or autumn.  Napoleon got it almost every autumn and into the winter but not every year.  There is no treatment for it in the UK.  His fur grew back each year - just looked odd in the winter and needed a good coat to wear.  We had tests carried out including a biopsy to make sure it was nothing else so might be worth checking with your vet.  His fur was never very good.  Always on the thin side.  He too was a rescue and it makes you wonder if they haven't been fed properly when they are developing and causes long term damage.

Hope he gets his fur back soon
